Last week I found myself on a plane to Ireland to take part in a number of activities to showcase the country as an Adventure Travel destination.

I was actually born in Ireland, not that I can remember it, so this was my first proper visit to the country. Although I had heard tales from my parents about the Irish and the country itself ('it's like a wetter, greener England') I didn't really know what to expect. I was to be water skiing, kayaking, mountain biking and horse riding around the south of Ireland, travelling from Cork, to Kilarney, and finally to Shannon where I would fly home.
